Is my HR dept allowed to ask if I have swine flu?

I was out sick for a few days, and then I also mentioned that my child care sitter actually WAS diagnosed with Swine flu. (So yes, we could have been exposed) Now my HR dept wants a dept a note stating I do NOT have swine flu.
Are they allowed to do this? Or is the violating my HIPPA rights?

The public is their duty to prove that you put everyone you put everyone you come in contact with.
The public is their duty to tuberculosis and it is their duty to prove that you put everyone you dont have.

They are allowed. H1N1 is a pandemic and contagious virus. The company (through HR) is allowed to protect other employees. Get the doctor’s note.

No, it’s not a violation of your HIPPA rights. Since the WHO has come out and stated this is a world wide pandemic they owe it to everyone that works there to protect them. They would be found negligent in a court if you came down with swine flu and went to work spreading it to everyone there. Think about this a minute and you’ll see it;s the right thing to do. If this where someone else besides you wouldn’t you want the same consideration? I really think anybody would. Good luck and God Bless
